Comissioned in 1902 Bedovy participated in the Battle of Tsushima.  On the second day of the battle it took aboard commander of the Russian admiral Rozhestvensky and his staff, from damaged Buiny and when it was cornered by the Japanese ships, the ademiral surrendered.  Destroyer was taken into the Japanese navy as Satsuki and served until 1913.  It was scrapped in 1922.
