70822 Soviet D Class Dry Cargo Ship Trotsky/Andre Marti, 1921-1957, 1/700
Steamship. Launched in 12.1918 at the Austin, S.P. & Son shipyard in Sunderland (United Kingdom). Initially named WARDRUM. In 06.1921 it was purchased by the joint Russian-English joint-stock company Arcos for Glavoda's Kara expeditions. In 1921 it took part in Glavoda's 2nd Kara expedition. From 18.07.1924 it was part of the SGK, from 15.03.1934 - part of the BGMP, from 22.09. 1939 - part of the MGMP, from 01.01.1940 - part of the SGMP. During the Great Patriotic War, it carried out export-import transportation between the ports of the USSR and the allies, participated in the passages of the allied convoys "QP-13", "PQ-18" and "QP-15". In the period from 09.02 to 20.02.1943, after repairs in England, it made an independent passage with export cargo from Reykjavik (Iceland) to Murmansk, and in the fall of 1943, it crossed from the Kara Sea to the Far East along the Northern Sea Route and on 02.01.1944 was transferred to the balance sheet of the DSMP. On 12.11.1947, for the merits of the crew during the war, it was awarded a memorial plaque by the MMF. On 27.04.1957 it was decommissioned. 3200 t; 89.6 x 12.83 x 5.78 m; 1400 hp; 9.3 knots
